Parental Guidance

We all know that being a parent does not come with a manual, no matter how much we would love that, so Chanel Nine has brought together some of the most popular parenting styles in one show to highlight the benefits and downfalls of each. And this show is called Parental Guidance. As a parent watching the show I am getting so much valuable information, tips and tricks from each style, and implementing them with our own kids.

But, I do have a favourite family in the show, as I'm sure most people do, and that is the Homeschooling Family, Deb and the kids <3

And, fan girl moment, I got to meet them!!

I will be honest, I was a bit scared when I found out the shoot was in a super busy local park, in the middle of the day (photographer kryptonite), on the hottest day of the year and there were 6 children. But the moment beautiful Deb and the kids arrived, I instantly knew it was all going to be ok. The kids were so fun, calm and loving to Deb and each other and made this one of my favourite shoots!

And the scariest part? The kids were in charge of everything :D

Technically I can't even even take any credit for the shoot as the kids ran the whole thing :) and the did a great job <3 Especially little Lulu :)

I'm pretty sure this one will end up as a massive canvas :)

Every shot we did was all about having fun, with total disregard for lighting, background, pose or any basic photography must haves.

But overall, fun, connection and love beat all the technical stuff in preserving your families memories!
